Indoor and outdoor dining is your choice, at the
Peace Garden Cafe located on the north side of the
Formal Garden’s north parking lot. The summer season
daily hours are 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The menu
prices are posted in both currencies.
You
can enjoy the Peace Garden Cafe take-outs or your
own home packed picnics at any one of the many
picnic sites nestled in nature’s beauty. Most all of
the picnic sites have playground equipment, and a
covered shelter. The Good Neighbor Picnic area has a
unique shelter with a fireplace flanked at one end.
A short walk from Overlook Picnic Area is the
Historic Waterfall and a view of Lake Udall. Birch
Grove, Order of the Eastern Star, and Maple Picnic
Area overlook Lake Storman. McKellar Picnic Area has
a view of “Lake Lotawata.”
For
fine dining, the Errick Willis Pavilion hosts Sunday
Buffets, July through September from 11:00 a.m. to
2:00 p.m. This glass enclosed building overlooks
Lake Stormon and available to rent, for weddings,
reunions, conventions, retreats, craft fairs, and
numerous other events.

International Peace Garden is handicapped
accessible. Upon availability, wheelchairs may be
used at no charge. Children's strollers may be

A public owned,
international airport is located at the Peace Garden with both U.S.
and Canadian Customs offices nearby and open 24/hrs. The airport is
equipped for small-mid size aircraft. A wind indicator and segmented
circle are available. The Unicom (122.800) is located in the U.S.
Customs office. Although the runway is not lighted, it is of an
asphalt surface and is in excellent condition. The runway is 3,000
ft. long, 60 ft. wide - at an estimated elevation of 2,314 ft.
Runway identification is 10/28. The estimated latitude is
48-59-52.015N, estimated longitude is 48-59-52.015N.
Pilots landing at the
Peace Garden Airport should be aware that fuel and aircraft services
are not available. During the winter months, snow is plowed
irregularly and deer are in the vicinity of the airport. There are 8
aircraft tie-down spaces available, and 10 auto parking spaces
available. For airport conditions or more information, pilots may
call the U.S. Customs Office at 701-263-4513 or the Canadian Customs
Office at 204-534-6820.
