IMC Festival of the Arts Performance – Burnstick
Burnstick is a Canadian folk music duo forged from passion and unfiltered emotion — where two voices become one powerful musical force. Anchored by the resonant Weissenborn lap slide guitars of Plains-Cree guitarist Jason Burnstick and the rich, poetic songwriting and harmonies of francophone-Métis vocalist Nadia Burnstick, their sound is at once cinematic and intimate. Drawing from a decade of life lived fully — as partners in both art and life — their music carries stories of love, loss, belonging, and the sacred ties that shape who we are. Guided by a fearless creative spirit and unafraid to push boundaries, Burnstick creates soul-stirring landscapes that challenge listeners to feel deeply and reflect inward. Backed by their drummer, Nadia and Jason perform deeply resonant music that always strikes a chord with audiences. JUNO-nominated and critically acclaimed, they stand not only as musicians but as storytellers of heart and human connection.
